I like fish

Hay y'all!! This week I get to tell you about Lake Mary Ronan, fish Heimlich, and Rosauersing. Caught your attention, did I? HA! See what I did there?? :P Hm...Now I see...I get that from my grandma. At Lake Mary Ronan my dad and I brought the kayak and we individually used it to paddle out and catch some perch!! We got 10 each. I got one big one! My dad's relatives were there, but I don't know them well, so it was hard to get past "what year in school are you and what's your major and what are you going to do and YOOUU caught FIIISH???." So plenty awkies, all day long.

So...the fish Heimlich. Technically, I did not perform the Heimlich on a fish. I did, however, save it from choking on a dead fish it had accidentally half-swallowed. My female albino bristle-nose plecostomus eats algae, not dead fish. So I don't know if sucking up the dead fish was a mistake or if she was curious or what. Anyway, the tail was hanging out and I saw her panicking and freaking out. My mom and I tried to siphon it out, but that didn't work plus it was going to do bad damage if it hurt her. So I put on the knife glove my grandma sent, soaked a rag in aquarium water, and held her in my hand over a chair. I then alternated between using a toothpick and tweezers to get the rest of the fish out (head and ribcage; it was really stuck!). I can't imagine that felt very nice :( But she is just peachy now!!
Rosauers keeps me on my toes. I am working 8 days in a row this week...don't think about that math too hard now. My brain is fizzling out fast. But I'm also learning produce codes! I memorize about 4 more each day. Some interesting customers as of late: a guy who bought $1200 worth of sunflower seeds, then used $600 worth of coupons. A few minutes after that, I sold a guy one banana for his 14 year old rabbit.

I have made so many earrings to sell! I need to get my Etsy shop going again. Pictured are some simple huckleberries :)

My bagels are better than yours!

Welcome to finals week!! I had only two classes this semester, so my finals week is quite lax. Hence I am writing about my adventures with my coffee-trippin' roomies.
So far there has been a lot of studying, with the necessary Youtube, movie, jam canning, dancing, and manual-drive-stick-shift-lesson breaks. Especially since your class is Molecular Genetics, which sounds fun, but in reality only about 50 scientists probably understand well.
About the jam canning, Roommate helped a friend make some homemade strawberry jam, and brought home a couple jars. Let me tell YOU. This is some jam. Not your ordinary Smuckers, Welch's, or off-brand high-fructose goo. This jam is just sweet enough not to distract from its light strawberry-ness. And it spreads! It actually spreads; it does not smear. It does not clump like cold "jello" jelly. So I toasted a wheat Chunch bagel and put some butter on it. Now THAT is a bagel. I could eat so many. THIS IS THE AWESOME BAGEL. More about this bagel here.
In lieu of finals week, here is a link to my college board on Pinterest for when you need that break. Guaranteed to get you through a study session, or your money back.

Can't wait till summer!!!
